| RE: Windows Vista Premium Error 8024402C
Have just updated Vista using windows update and no error messages have recieved all 36 manditory & 5 optional. The Fix is ... 1. check you have admin rights 2. go to Internet Options and open trusted sights and type in the URL for Update, http\\update.microsoft.com and for downloads, http\\download.windowsupdate.microsoft.com 3.disable the firewall temporarily to ensure the download then after enable and it worked after 6 months. wish you all success Gazza "gazza" wrote: > I think I have fixed the problem by uninstallingthe last 2 updates for Vista > Kb931213 and KB93953 then restarting and updating via windows update. I had the same problem & I contacted microsoft support & Tech. BRUCE sent me the following suggestion & my problem was in Protocol internet 4. Try this, it might just work. I had 13 updates to install, I had to try 3 times to complete all, but they all downloaded & installed. Gary .. Click "Start", input "NCPA.CPL" (without quotation marks) to Start Search bar and press "Enter". 2. Right-click the network connection and click "Properties". If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. 3. Click to highlight "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)" and click "Properties". 4. Check "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically". 5. Click "OK". 6. Click to highlight "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and click "Properties". 7. Check "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically". 8. Click "OK". 9. Reboot the computer. "Daniel Stoddart" wrote: > Hi, I am pulling my hair out.
