Do you get any different results for net helpmsg 1935

Try a search? Tip: for most hits search with all possible representations
of a code. E.g. hex code, hex code with a 0x prefix and decimal equivalent.

    Hi,
I am having the same problem vith vista busines edition (original) and office 2007 enterprise edition (not original). If i try to instal the SP1 from the windows update i receive the error code 78F and if i try to download the file from microsoft page and then install on the end of instalation i receive the message the program stop working, checking for solution and thats it.
But on win xp sp2 (not original) i have the same office and install the sp1 without any problems.
Do anyone have some idea how to install SP1 on vista?

    thx in advance,

I have 193GB Free Space; my System has 1 Partiton only. I don't think lack of
    Free Space is responsible.

    Re: Code 78F

I got all my Updates installed - FINALLY.

All I did was reboot, install a single Update, reboot again, install another
    etc.

I needed to do this several times. Afer a few tries the Updates were
    successful.

At one point I was asked to install MS SilverLight, which I did.

    http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/#4_0

I have no idea if SilverLight is needed to Update or not. But it's worth a
    try, I suppose.

    Error Code 78F

I run Vista Home Premium 64-bit with Office Enterprise 2007. I had the same problem even with downloading Office 2007 SP1 and installing it from my hard drive. To solve it I had to uninstall Office 2007 using Control Panel "Programs and Features". I re-install Office 2007 and was able to install Office 2007 SP1 without any problem. I use CCleaner to clean my registry. May be it cleaned it too well. In any case Office 2007 SP1 is installed and everything is fine.

Registry cleaners can be good when properly used.
But sometimes they remove something that seems unimportant until much
    later.
I suggest when using a registry cleaner, do not remove any keys unless
you positively identify them as not needed.
If you do not know or are unsure, leave it alone.
Unfortunately that means you need to understand the registry or know
    someone who does.

I'm having difficulty installing the updates but I have the trial software
pre-installed, would that be the cause of my failed updated?

I must have tried a dozen times to install update for Office 2007 SP1 with no
success. Finally found this forum and followed the suggestion to insert my
Office 2007 disk in the optical drive. BINGO! INSTALLED FIRST TRY!
