    Error number: 0x80096010

    Windows xp sp2 Getting this message on windows update. Any ideas anyone?

    Slee, just reboot and once XP loads go to Internet
    Explorer>Tools>Internet Options>Content>Certificates>Look for any
    expired and remove.

    The digital signature of the object did not verify

    You cannot install some updates or programs

    Have a particular look at :
    Method 8: Verify the status of all certificates in the certification path and import
    missing or damaged certificates from another computer

    I am also getting this error code on windows update, 0x80096010. I have all
    my certificates good as per the article quoted in the last post. Any more
    ideas?
