What is this update for and which modem is this applying too? Where do you
find the modem information for your computer?

The update is for your modem as it says.

Right click on My Computer
Click on Manage
Click on Device Manager
In the Right Pane, click the + next to Modem to expand the menu
Right click on Modem and select Properties
Click on Driver Tab
Click on Update Driver
Follow the prompts

May require a reboot for changes made to take effect

Hi there,

If your modem works fine : leave it be working fine!

Do not take any driver updates from Windows Update unless you like problems.

If needed ( meaning if your hardware does not work well!) take a driver
update from the manufacturers website.
