keep getting error 0x8007F0DA trying to install server 2003 sp 2

have tried both system32\catroot2 suggestions in "find Solutions"

still no luck

Hi,

We also had problems installing SP2 on a W2003 server SBS. Although
individual small updates get installed when we try with SP2 we got an error
code 0x8007F070.

Have tried to find out what this could mean but no success.

My guess is that your SoftwareDistribution\Download folder is corrupt
so the patch update being used can't integrate as it needs to,
in which case the Method 10 in KB822798 that TaurArian pointed
the OP at could help or at least change your symptom.

Otherwise you could try invoking verbose logging in hopes that that
would reveal more clues about what is wrong. Ref. KB902093
