Unable to Update Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 2.0

I am unable to install the following 2 security updates
KB917283, KB922770

XP Service Pack 2

Any help would be appreciated.

I could not figure out either how to install KB922770. I must have tried 20
times over the past three or four months. Reparing .Net Framework 2.0 did not
work. The only thing that did work was to uninstall it completely, and to
reinstall it using the dotnetfx.exe file which I downloaded manually from the
download site ( I have the French version). I ran Windows update again, and I
was then finally able to install the update. The whole process took me less
than 15 minutes (uninstalling and reinstalling v2.0, and installing the
update). Hope this helps someone else. Good Luck.
