Security Update for Flash Player (KB923789) Install Failure

Yes, after I rebooted, the Security Update (KB923789) was not needed! Cool!

The same has been happening to me. I have the updated version and I can play
videos on youtube with no problem. I just want to know how to get rid of
that little yellow balloon stating I have an update to install. Everytime I
do, I get a failure, but it won't go away. Keeps coming back. It has
installed to my computer and I dont know where to go to delete that install
program. HELP!!!!!

This is how I got rid of the yellow balloon after numerous attempts to
install failed: Download the uninstaller found here:
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowled...fm?id=tn_14157
Save it to your desktop for easy acces. I had to reboot before uninstalling
to make sure it was not in use.

Then re-install on all you browsers. The link to the download is found here:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/downl...h&Lang=English

That got rid of the ballon for me once I installed on both IE and Firefox.

Download Flash Player 9 install and then reboot. You won't be prompted for
that update afterwards.

I get a failure to install measage when the windows update tries to install this. Going to your web site yields the same result. Windows XP
