svchost error

svchost.exe - Application Error (in module msi.dll)
The instruction at "0x745f2780" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".
If you have a svchost error and/or Generic Host error occur at startup, here is the fix

Stop the ?Automatic Update? service

Rename folder c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution to SD.old

Reregister dlls

REGSVR32 WUAPI.DLL
REGSVR32 WUAUENG.DLL
REGSVR32 WUAUENG1.DLL
REGSVR32 ATL.DLL
REGSVR32 WUCLTUI.DLL
REGSVR32 WUPS.DLL
REGSVR32 WUPS2.DLL
REGSVR32 WUWEB.DLL

Restart the ?Automatic Update? service
