www.microsoftupdate.com

Why doesn't www.microsoftupdate.com redirect to
http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate?
Microsoftupdate.com domain has already been registered by Microsoft.

Best regards,

IIRC, this domain was actually created by a malware company - MS would seem
to have acquired the domain to prevent any further such use (presumably by
recourse to legal beagles).
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...e.com%22&meta=
would seem to support this recollection.
