I would suggest you to perform a steps that may help you out well for the same. Just follow the below:

• You have to check the services in order to check if BITS is set to Manual and Automatic Updates is set to Automatic
• This can be done well by right clicking on desktop and then choose Manage
• For the same you can also right click on Start menu
• Click on the service and Application in the left pane which you may get
• Then you have to double click in the right frame and make the confirmation BITS and AU settings

That makes no sense, I run Windows 7 Home Premium on my laptop and right clicking the desktop gives you Personalize, not Manage. I found nothing of the sort in what you said to help any at all. Anyways, Microsoft is calling me daily and working on my laptop till we get it resolved. Going thru a few different tools to run and trial and error. If a solution is found, I will post. Being that since most ppl gets there's fixed, they then forget all about this page and don't post back what was fixed, how, when, probably because they can't remember how it was fixed. I'll do my best to let anyone else know what it took.
