I too have this problem, and found a work around. I use a DirectPC satellite
link normally - which enjoys this error when going for updates. If I use a
dail-up connection instead there is no error and everything works just fine.
I'd still like to find out how to fix things to work with the satellit link,
however, as it is much faster.

I am getting this error report, it seems, only after i have installed Zone
Alarm Pro. I don't think that I have configured it right and therefore I
obviously need help. Can or is there anyone out there who also has come
across this same problem with there firewall and can they PLEASE steer me in
    the right direction.

I too have this problem, but I do use a dial up connection. I would love to
have someone come up with a cure for this.

I had the same error. I also use DirecWay and ZoneAlarm Pro. I got past the
error by shutting down ZA Pro. Gutsy, eh?

yup thats the way to go. its the damn zone alarm pro. i use dia-up and was
having more problems but once i shut down zone alarm i dont get the problem
so i guess thats the solution. it would b helpful if someone knows what
options to change in zone alarm so that this problem doesnt occur.
