    Nobody?

I've got the excact same error code on two pc's.
One has like wendy's just installed sp2,
the other has just got xp installed, and after using win update once and
reebooting, it got the same error code: 0x80244010

Although I think it somehow's the same.
MS stores all the info in the .NETaccount, right?

I use the same .NET account on both computers.

Ok. I have tried lot of things.

    I have gathered this far:

    http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/windows_update_codes.htm -page states that
error code 0x80244010 is "The maximum allowed number of round trips to the
server was exceeded". Is the problem because the limit is too low or
something causes too many round trips?

Error string is: " SUS_E_PT_EXCEEDED_MAX_SERVER_TRIPS" which indicates that
the problem is not Window Update but Software Update Services.

    Hi Weendy,

Can you please try the following steps to correct this issue. Can you let me
know if you had in the past been successful in accessing the windows update
    site v5?

What recent changes have you made?

    =====
This issue can be resolved by registering the MSXML files as they could be
    corrupt
    or missing.
Please follow these steps to register the MSXML.DLL, MSXML2.DLL and
    MSXML3.DLL
    files.

    1. Click on Start, Run and type "REGSVR32 MSXML.DLL" (without the quotes,
    please
note there is a space between Regsvr32 and the file name). You should see a
    popup
    message that this process succeeded.

    2. Click on Start, Run and type "REGSVR32 MSXML2.DLL" (without the quotes,
    please
note there is a space between Regsvr32 and the file name). You should see a
    popup
    message that this process succeeded.

    3. Click on Start, Run and type "REGSVR32 MSXML3.DLL" (without the quotes,
    please
note there is a space between Regsvr32 and the file name). You should see a
    popup
    message that this process succeeded.

Try accessing the Windows Update Site again and see if your issue gets
    resolve.

If our issue remains or if you get any error message while performing the
    above
steps, I would suggest you to please follow the Suggestion 2.

This issue occurs because of corrupt MSXML Parser. We can resolve this issue
    by
installing the MSXML Parser 3.0 SP4. Please click on the following link and
    install
    it.

    http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...97103203a32/ms
    xml3usa.msi

When asked for saving the file, click on Save and save this file to your
    Desktop.

Once the file is downloaded to your Desktop, double click on the
    msxml3usa.exe file
    to start the Installation Process.

After the installation is complete reboot your system and then try accessing
    the
    Windows Update Site.

    Thanks,
    Allen Hill [MSFT]
