The error message is : The file c:\ntldr is open or used by an other application. Close all programs and try again.
The Windows is a French the error message is a traduction.
I checked into the svcpack.log and I found many failed and success, but I don't understand where is the problem.
Somebody has already receved the message with the c:\ntldr is used ?
If you wand I can post the svcpack.log (but take care because there is many record in the file, and there is somes french.)
Thanks for your help.
Re: Problem to install SP3 on Windows XP SP2
Well for that you will need some tool that can find out what is using this process/file. Tools like sysinternals could help you for this. Also, you can simply install Windows XP SP3 from scratch if you have CD, you will not get any such message in that process.
Anyways, for more help, you can see this as well:
