KB976570 failed install error 0x66A

I'm running Windows XP Version 2002 Service Pack 3, and have been having
problems installing the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2 Update
for Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x86 (KB976570). It fails to install in
Windows update. When I try to install it without Windows Update, I get a
message that says I don't have any of the appropriate software installed. The
Error Code is 0x66A. Can anyone help me fix this problem?

I keep getting this update, and it keeps failing. How do I hide, or diable this, it's kind of annoying.

Have you tried to repair the .NET Framework 3.0 by using the command prompt:

1. Locate the Dotnetfx.exe file that you used to install the .NET Framework 3.0. To do this, use one of the following methods:
   
   • Insert the installation disc in your CD drive or DVD drive, if you installed the .NET Framework 3.0 from a CD or from a DVD.
   • If you installed the .NET Framework 3.0 from your hard disk, download the .NET Framework 3.0 Setup program to your hard disk.
   • If you installed the .NET Framework 3.0 from a network drive, reconnect to the network drive.
2. # Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
3. # At the command prompt, run the following command:
   %InstallationPath%\dotnetfx.exe /t:%temp% /c:"msiexec.exe /fvecms %temp%\netfx.msi"
