Microsoft .NET Framework (any version will not install)

Any version of Microsoft .NET Framework will not install on my computer, and I need it to open a program to update my video driver. I have uninstalled and cleaned up everything .net framework, and tried to install it from the microsoft website, but it won't. Any help?

Which firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware or security suite is installed?
There are some that cause problems which don't always appear immediately.

Have you tried the dotnet framework cleanup tool?
