    Windows Update Registry Keys

    Hi All,

I wish to control windows update by changing registry keys.
I wonder what is the difference between:
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\
    and
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto
    Update\

if I want to initiate a scan using windows Update or WSUS, where
    should I touch ?

    Thanks
