| Urgent: Problem with KB961260 on vista 64 (network stops working)
After KB961260 installs on my Vista 64 Home Premium system my connection to the LAN & Internet stop functioning properly. I only have one network connection on my machine to my LAN. Before the install this shows up properly. After the install of KB961260 windows shows my machine as having two connections - one to my local network "Private network", and one to an Unidentified network "Public network". There is only one LAN interface on my machine, and it's only connected to one network. Checking the properties of the networks after installing the update show that both have the same IP address, however they conflict with each other, and windows tells me to unplug one of them. Since there's only one network connection that's impossible, and I have to back out the patch to get the connection working again. |
