KB961260 Security Update for Internet Explorer

KB961260 Security Update for Internet Explorer disabled my use of the MS Flex
Grid Control msflxgrd.ocx. After I removed it the grid worked fine.

Is there a way to block KB961260 from installing. I have other users of
this application also.

Thank you.

Jon

Re: KB961260 Security Update for Internet Explorer

Are you sure you're not referring to KB960715, which includes a killbit
which may affect msflxgrd.ocx?

In any event, it is *not* a good idea not to have KB961620 installed!

Start a free Windows Update support incident request:
https://support.microsoft.com/oas/de...spx?gprid=6527

For home users, no-charge support is available by calling 1-866-PCSAFETY in
the United States and in Canada or by contacting your local Microsoft
subsidiary. There is no-charge for support calls that are associated with
security updates. When you call, clearly state that your problem is related
to a Security Update and cite the update's KB number (e.g., KB961620).

LOOK! => If your problem relates to a Cumulative Security Update for IE,
call the above number and ask to be transferred to the "Consumer IE queue"
(which is 47830).

For more information about how to contact your local Microsoft subsidiary
for security update support issues, visit the International Support Web
site: http://support.microsoft.com/common/international.aspx

For enterprise customers, support for security updates is available through
your usual support contacts.

Definitly wrong conclusion, see FAQ section of Security Advisory 960715
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec...ry/960715.mspx referring
to http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../MS08-070.mspx also.

Bye,
Freudi

This may indicate that you don't have the latest version of this control.

Please go through this link , this will help you someway.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/967941

Run Windows Update, select Custom Install, click on the + beside the Active X
Update Rollup' update, and click hide this update. (This is from memory, the
options may not be exact).
If you've done it properly, you will get some warnings.
Hope this helps.
