Installation failing repeatedly. Running Windows XP Home + SP3, IE7.

1. Any tricks to getting it installed.
2. How do I stop if from repeatedly trying to install?

What's the firewall, antivirus/security suite, *active* anti-malware
software installed/used ?
Was the system restarted after the installation ?

Follow the instructions in the related MS KB article, which essentially consists of running the system file checker as admin:
sfc /scannow
My scan said no problems were found, but the install worked after that anyway.
