Windows Update Error number 0x80072EFE

I hope this did not get posted twice, but I am not sure my first post
went thru.

I am trying to help my neighbor.

His computer is Windows XP Media Center Edition SP3
Trend Micro Antivirus 2008
He does have AOL 9.0 installed

I have his PC at my house connected to the internet using Brighthouse
Roadrunner connection.

His computer was behind in updates.
I installed SP3 from a CD I have.

Every time I run Windows Update I get the following:

The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you
are trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the
problem.

The error code listed is [Error Number: 0x80072EfE]

I have searched for this error but I am not having any luck.

I have stopped Trend Micro's real time protection and it still fails.
Windows firewall is turned on, but I tried wit bit TM and the firewall
disabled and still no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.
