I want to use system update, but I( keep getting an error hat says to enable
auto update in the services.msc.

When I enable that, and start the service, I get this script error, so I
can't get the latest MS updates. It points to this file.
res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\mmcndmgr.dll/views.htm

What do I need to do?

Go ahead and download Dial-Âª-Fix.

Click the Double green checkmark and click Go.
Reboot
Try the

and D/L your updates

Download and *save* it. After the download completes close all open
programs and browsers.

*** Temporarily disable the installed antivirus/security
suite/anti-malware/3rd party softwares. This includes all services nd

manufacturer's web site to learn how this is accomplished.

*Enable* the native Vista firewall as the system must be connected to
the net when the tool runs so that it can downloaded needed updating
software components. ***

Now run au_check_v78a_codeplex.exe by *right* clicking it and choosing
'Run as administrator'. Allow it time to complete it's operation.
Restart the computer afterwards.

See if the system can update now.

Start by stating your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista SP1), as
you should always do when posting to this newsgroup.

There's a very strong possibility that you have a Vundo infection, which is
usually accompanied by ZLOB and/or SDBot infections, all of which are
protected by a rootkit.

1. See if you can download/run the MSRT manually:

3. Run additional checks for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis
log to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2

conjuction with some other utilities). HijackThis will NOT fix anything on
its own, but it will help you to both identify and remove any
hijackware/spyware with assistance from an expert. **Post your log to
