Log on screen problem

Hello,

Today, I tried to install Windows Vista Ultimate, apparently some file was corrupted because it failed. I turned off my computer, but afterwards I turned it on and this time I won't even get to the log on screen to type in my password. Instead, a blue screen with white letters appears. At the top, it says that a problem has been detected and that Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to my computer.

Then it reads:

"Unmountable_Boot_Volume"

Then there two paragraphs giving options on what I should do. I've tried somethings but they failed, others I don't even know how to.

At the very bottom it reads:

"Technical information:

***Stop: 0x000000ED (0x8293AAC0, 0xC000009C, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)"

Can my computer be fixed? I don't care anymore about having Vista on it.

Thanks for your help.
