    XP Repair Options

My friend's son got the "heiru.invader virus" His system would freeze at his XP desktop because 965 of resources were being used. Could enter his desktop in safe mode, but still over 90% of resources used. Couldn't run Webroot's Spysweep at a workable pace.

Disconnected his drive and hooked it to my system via USB device. Using Kaspersky, I got rid of the virus. When I put it the drive back in his computer, it still froze at the desktop. I remember getting advice on doing a Windows repair using the original system disck. (XP Home Edition). Can someone refresh me on the procedures

There is a link about clean install you may need to backup and wipe out the
HDD and install a clean copy.
