How to install office 2003 on windows vista

A solution for installing officce 2003 on Vista when you get an error message like :- "Can't find file YI561403.CAB"

Although removing the trial version of office 2007 on my pc, i thought all files were deleted but i still had office file left in it which was called Office 12. So i just emoved the file & old offcie 2003 started fine. There is similar issue if another .cab file is showing as missing. So the best bet is search the hdd for office file & remove it before putting the old office.

i have another issue with installing office 2003 on a laptop. I used the office 2007 trial & thats why didnt use the office 2003 version that i got for a discount. Also did a fresh install of the OS. Now when i try to install it i get an error message making sure that i have or if mapsivc. inf file is present. But System 32 file doesnt have it? I also tried by right clicking the file & run as admin method. The above solution also didnt help me. Any Thoughts?

Well, i also installed office 2003 on vista with no problems & i also had the same error when trying to install it on windows xp. Later after much troubling i found that the cd was dirty so i just cleaned it & everything started to work fine. hope this helps you out
