Windows Vista problem - APPCRASH explorer.exe

So there´s a first to everything....
Hi guys, I´m a computer illiterate woman in her 30s who has a problem with not being able to clean up the "rubbish bin" on my computer. Each time I try to access my desktop I get the following wrong message (sorry about the Swedish, guys, but I´m sure you get the most important points):

After searching around on different forums, I´ve understood that the most common reason to my problem is ad/spyware. I´ve tried to run Ad-aware by Lavasoft and Ad Watch on my laptop, but none of the programs would even work???

I´m using a trial verion of Kaspersky as my virus program, although I have to admit I installed it kind of late...(3months after purchase).

I run Windows Vista and that in itself has been a nightmare for someone who hardly knows her left from her right in the jungle of different programs that are not yet compatible with this system.

If anyone out there has the patience and time to help - and break the problem solving process down to a 3yr old´s level - it would be HIGHLY appreciated.
(I REFUSE having to call my ex the IT-specialist on this!)

i would suggest u to install a windows xp system on ur comp. cause u already know that vista is a bug in itself.
