CSP Error 0x8007000D

When I try to install a certificate I get the following error message CSP Error 0x8007000D.

Sometimes I try to install the certificate through the import wizard and receive the message "The private key that you are importing might require a cryptographic service provider that is not installed on your system".

If I got into Services/Applications > Services I can see that the cryptographic service is started though.

anyone know the fix for this?
