| Style problem in word 2007 I created several templates in word 2003 that had their own simple styles (like change font size plus bold). When I try to use them in word 2007, if i select part of a sentence and attempt to apply the style to just that part, it applies the style to the entire sentence/paragraph and not just the highlighted text. I also tried to create a style in word 2007 to see if this would fix the problem but it did the same thing. Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. |

| Check if the style is a paragraph or character style
You need to check if the style that you created is a paragraph style or a character style. If it is a paragraph style then when you apply the style it will apply to entire paragraph. If the style is a character style, then it will apply only to the selected words in the sentence. To check if the style is a paragraph of character style do the following:
Hope this helps. |
