Backup Software?

Dear Readers,
I recent;y purchased en external USB drive 250GB for backing up my music, documents, photos, etc. and am looking for a good freeware/open-source utility to do just that.
I've tried SyncBack and although it worked well initially it ended up crashing windows. I would love to hear your recommendations, thank you!

inbuilt windows backup can do the trick or you can google for the same.

why do you need a utility to do that ???

just copy what ever files & folders you want to back up & paste them into the external hard drive - its that simple.

And, if you have your files scattered randomly across your PC then now is the time to do a little housekeeping and tidy up all of your files that you want to back-up into a set of folders organized according to what they are (docs, pics, music, videos, browser favorites, etc)
