DONīT WORK THE CONNECTION TO MICROSOFT UPDATE and TO WINDOWS UPDATE. W2000 SP4-OFFICE 2003

Hello to all. I live in Spain; for that I translate from spanish. Sory for my poor english.
I have a problem that I believe that it is frequent, and for that reason I think that he will have answer among the experts.
I have operative system Windows 2000 Professional with SP4 and up to date up-to-date.
There is migrated from Office 2000 Professional to Office 2003 Professional.
And when making it, DONīT WORK THE CONNECTION TO MICROSOFT UPDATE AND TO WINDOWS UPDATE.
If in System Tools, I active the Automatic Upgrades, it always leaves me the message of error when star PC that says svchost.exe.
Solution: I disable it and I put it in Manual and the problem disappears when start PC.
BUT I continue WITHOUT being able to CONNECT with UPDATE.
In the Finder of Events it leaves me the following message:
In Registry of application:
Origin: ESENT
Description: wuaueng.dll(1540) The mark of the registration version it doesn't coincide with the mark of the motor version of database.
In Registry os System it leaves me the following message:
Origin: Removable Storage
Description: RSM cannot administer the library since PhysicalDrive2 found an error not specified. This can be due to a series of problems including, but don't give form sole right, damages in the database, error in the communication with the library or insufficient system resources.

PLEASE, SOME HELP TO BE ABLE TO SOLVE IT ??.
