How To Make Windows Media Player My Default Player

I've got Windows media player and quicktime both installed on my computer...

quicktime is the default player for audio files but i want media player to be how can i do that?

I know this works on Xp and it may be the long way around but right click an mp3 and select open with, then choose wmp and click the box that I think says remember this selection or always use something like that.

you go to control panel and then default setting ,change the prioritiesand make media player as default

right click to any media file,then select open with ,choose wmp from list and check the checkbox i.e. always open with
