    ThumbsUp tiny apps to live for....

    Some1 was mentioning earlier about nify utils like the ones by Sysinternals.... well here are few more from NirSoft at http://www.NirSoft.net my personal favs are....
    # WinUpdatesList - Displays the list of all Windows updates (Service Packs and Hotfixes) installed on your local computer.
    # ShellExView - Displays the details of shell extensions installed on your computer, and allows you to easily disable and enable each shell extension.
    # Volumouse - Control the sound volume with your wheel mouse !!

    Offline browser and Office package

    This is the best free offline browser that i hav tried. Helps those with time limitations in internet connections..... just download the whole site and view it later.

    Well not completely. But I can't really say if this is a defect in the softie, or whether the CD was really badly scratched. (Well it was, but then I don't know how much is too much for CD recovery software). Ur luck might be better. Check it out.

    P.S: If ur trying to recover docs/pics/vids/music it should be alright. The error percentage wasn't really that high. The fact that it was a 660+ meg RAR archive containing bits of critical installation data screwed everything up.
