Nero compatability with windows 7

Hi ,

I have installed nero 9 free version in my laptop. The OS is windows 7 (64 bit version). When I am trying to write dvd/cd in data mode, at the end its showing
"Burning process failed" .
Can anyone please suggest me what can be the solution in this regard.

Which laptop is it? Have you tried using some other burning tools such as ImgBurn that can be used to burn cd/dvds as well? Also, is the disc clean, check if there is some crack on the disc which might be the problem here. You can also try to upgrade the firmware version of the cd/dvd writer that you have and check if that eliminates the problem.
