Hyperlink not working in Excel 2007

I have an excel sheet with a number of web addresses and hytperlink which used to work perfectly fine till last few days. But now, when I click on the link; it doesn’t open, instead takes me to a page which read: “Cannot download the Information you requested”.

I’m totally clueless as to what is happening.

I believe the problem could be because of any of the following issues.

• Filename or path is no longer valid; and/or
• The file is being used by another program.

Please look into the possibility of this.

I don’t think the issue revolves around missing or invalid path. Because, when I copy paste the link on any of the browser, it works perfectly fine. I suspect, it’s something related to the browser or cache. Can we kick out the possibility for this?

I could be because of a change in your Internet Explorer Security Settings. Follow the following path

IE> Tools>Internet Options>Advanced> Security.

Here, reset the advanced settings, it might resolve your problem entirely

Another solution or should I say, THE solution to this would be:

 Go to internet explorer,
 from the file menu, uncheck-Work Offline

It will solve your problem with your hyperlinks as well as browsers.
