I happened to run Driver agent to check out for outdated drivers

The following of them have reported to be outdated.

intel(R)ICH9 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2934

I checked the device manager to discover that the driver date is 2006 and the provider is Microsoft.

Just want to know if I have to update and if I have to, where to find the update.

I downloaded them and installed them. But they’re not working. My system still shows that I am using driver version 6.1.7100.0

I guess you’ve not installed the driver properly. Please check out

To make sure that they are installed properly, you have to launch the installer with parameters:

X:\""".exe -overall -overide -overwrite

(Please refer the integrated readme for more details.)

The new chipset will then be installed regardless of the preinstalled old ones.

I had similar issue with my laptop Toshiba U400. I did the following and it helped.
Easy 3 steps:

1- Download the software

2-install setup and make scan.

3-Select ICH9 family USB.

4- Download and install.

Result: Driver has been updated from Microsoft 2006 to Intel 200
