"High-Definition Video Playback" Error while installing Nero 10 Multimedia Suite

Hello after fresh installation of windows 7 I am not able to install Nero 10 Multimedia Suite on mine system. While installing Nero 10 Multimedia Suite I have got the below error message: “High-Definition Video Playback , A newer version of this application is already installed on this computer. If you wish to install this version, please uninstall the newer version first. Click OK to exit the wizard. Can anyone suggest me to solve this issue.

Even I have got same issue while installing the Nero 11 and I have gone through this "Nero 11 Already Installed" error message while installing Nero 11 Platinum thread to solve mine issue. Make sure Nero program not listed on installed program. Go to control panel and under that click on the uninstall program. Now on the uninstall program if you get the any Nero related program just uninstall and then reboot.

The high-definition playback is actually hidden in something like NBCIDU in temporary files while extraction of files during installation. So I would like to suggest you to Backup your registry first and then go to the windows registry and under that remove the all high-definition playback entries data and values. According to me there total 2 to 3 values you will find. Just remove all this and after that reboot the system for best result.

Hello thanks for the replies and I have tried above solution but this doesn’t helped me to solve mine issue. i have not found any Nero programs and Nero related programs. even i have also tried to remove high-definition playback registry but i have got the same issue. please an anyone suggest more solution on this..

To get rid of KM in the registry, you need to search the registry for kwikmedia. so launch windows registry editor and under that remove the all values and keys related to kwikmedia. once you removed the all keys and values related to kwikmedia and then run Windows DisK Cleanup utility from Accessories and reboot system for the best result.
