Video organization program for Mac similar to iPhoto

We have recently purchased the iMac. The current video camera we are using has HDD and the video format is no recognizable in iPhoto. I can upload the videos on iMovie. But the iMovie is little more complicated to organize the movie. You can do some light editing using iMovie but to view and organize videos I need a software that works similar to iPhoto. Does anyone know about this kind of software?

In my case I am using the Miro. This software will do anything for your video library needs and sometimes more than that. When you first start the Miro, It will either search for all videos in your computer or a specific folder in order to start the video organization. The best thing is, this software is free to download.

If there is a very large collection of home videos, then you should go for the Clipstart. It is a small software which can organize the short movies as fully searchable database. It is very useful software for those who are looking for iPhoto functionality for their movies. The app is lightweight and affordable to purchase. You can get the neat, tidy, and well-organized video or movie collections.

If you are using the iMac, then I hope that all of the video and movies are QuickTime-compatible. For this you can use a BitPlayer for both viewing and organizing. By this, you can organize movie files in a multiple customizable playlists. It supports fully multithreaded exporting for several formats.
