Should I sell Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 6970 for GeForce GTX 580?

I am having Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 6970 which I had bought last year and now the situation with me is that I am getting $150 for the Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 6970 and I was planning to get GeForce GTX 580 which will cost me around $350, so I just wanted to know that should I go for the deal or I should wait for the Nvidia 600 series to make it a better deal, what do you all think about the same?

Before I suggest you something about the same can you just post the system specification of your computer, so I could have a better idea about your choice, just mention them here for further help.

Here is my system specification:

• CPU: AMD Phenom II 955 3.2Ghz (C2) @ 3.81Ghz
• Mobo: Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5
• Mem: 16GB kit G-Skill RipJaws 1600Mhz
• Video: Gigabyte Radeon 6970 2GB @950/1440
• HDD: 2X WD 150GB VelociRaptor (RAID 0)
• OS: Windows 7 Professional X64

I also wanted to add that I want to get the one by which I can run BF3 decently on ultra, just go through the specs and see what will be better for me.

I think that I can help you out here, in my case have recently bought Radeon 6970 and even I am having similar specs as that of yours and I am not having any problem in playing the BF3 on ultra, it just works great, if you want then you can surely go for that, you really won’t be disappointed with the deal.

Even though the Radeon 6970 is capable of handling BF3 on ultra I think that you should wait for the Nvidia 600 series and you can also take the 700 series in to account as well because they will be out soon and it will be better than 6970 as well,I think that you will surely get a better deal if you wait for Nvidia 600 series.
