Windows live ID sign in assistant

I tried to open "Games for windows live marketplace" and it said that it needs "Windows live ID sign in assistant" in order to work.It provided with a link to download it,so i dled and installed it.But i tried opening it again AFTER the installation and it still asks for it.
I already searched the forums and couldn't find someone else with the same problem.
In case it helps,i use windows live messenger 9.0 (i really dislike the newer versions) and obviously don't have windows live essentials.

Apparently it didn't install.I didn't notice before,but the message i get when i try to install "Windows live ID sign in assistant" is :

"Windows live ID sign in assistant setup wizard ended prematurely because of an error.Your system has not been modified.To install this program at a later time,run setup wizard again."
Anyones knows a solution?

Well Windows Live Sign-in Assistant is an Internet Explorer add-on which is provided with Windows Live Smarts Clients as Windows Live Messenger. Main goal of having this particular add-on is to have better sign-in experience when you are supposed to using Windows Live ID account.
However if you don’t wanted to use Windows Live Sign-in Assistant than you can remove it. There will not be any issue if you don’t use this add-on.
