MSProject how to make task complete out of hours

I have a series of tasks that must be done out of hours and they must not be started unless they can be completed out of hours.
For example 2 tasks that each take 2 hours, dependent on other tasks completing AND it being after 00:00 when they start and that they can complete before 00:59.
I have set up a task calendar 00:01 - 05:59, but the tasks are getting scheduled if they can begin before 05:59, whereas I need them not to start unless they can complete beforw 05:059. These tasks will be done every weekday night for several weeks until the project is completed. Any ideas how I can do this?

    Thanks

Thanks but that is just a general diiscussion about how to set durations, I have a specific need to make a task only start if it can end during the same outage window.

Re: MSProject how to make task complete out of hours

I would create a calendar with restricted working hours and use a buffer task. If the tasks take 1 hour and must be completed before 06:00 am then they can start no later than 4:59, yes?

So create a more restrictive schedule than you have -- starting at 00:01 and ending at 04:59. Add a one minute duration predecessor to the task linked as the successor to the other predecessors. This will schedule the one-minute predecessor in the hours allowable to get the one hour task complete.

In the future, you may also want to post directly to the forum for Project. See
