I have three computers at work that came with windows vista and I am sick of the problems I've had over the years getting them to communicate with one another efficiently. I am either looking at replacing them with new machines with 7 or upgrading all three to 7 professional, but want to be cost effective about it.
My question is: Does anyone know if I can get the family 3-pack upgrade to 7 home premium and then do a windows anytime upgrade to professional for each computer?
I figure it will be $150 for the family pack and then $70 x 3 for each anytime upgrade on each computer so it should cost me $360 total. Amazon also has a Windows 7 Professional SP1 32bit (Full) System Builder DVD 1 Pack for about $140 ($420 total), does anyone know what the difference between that and Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Upgrade that they sell for about $150 is.
What would be my best solution to upgrade or should I just save up for another year to get three new windows 7 computers? Thanks for any advice you can give me!
