i think there are hardware problems encountering you, so you should have a check of your default printer.
    • try by changing the default printer you have and make sure of the printing that it works well in this case. i can specify the use of default printer to you that on the File menu it is used at the time of clicking Print and this occurs on most of the Windows-based programs.
    • Try by opening Printers and Faxes
    • to set it as a default printer right-click the printer you wish for and have a click on Set as Default Printer.
    • besides the printer icon which is present in the Printers and Faxes a check mark will tend to appear.

there might be software problems if you don't consider the hardware issue. try to check the local settings of the excel sheet. first of all, just make sure of the fact that the the borders and the grid lines in print preview should appear. then only you can have a print of your desired document.

for the accurate solution i can provide some guidelines. first of all
    1. Select the worksheet which you want to print.
    2. you will appear to see a Page Layout tab, under the Sheet Options group, choose Print check box in the Grid lines.
    3. File tab<<< Print.
    4. there is a keyboard shortcut for this to work . you can press CTRL+P.
    5. Click OK which is present in the Print dialog box.

it works well in my previous versions and not in an updated version. i think this is because i kept both the versions in my system and think that they are mismatching. so there is a possibility of it and i tried with removing of older versions and it worked for me.

Re: unable to print borders and gridlines in Excel 2010

there is a relation between the files of 2010 and 2003 , and i can say some characteristics present in Excel 2010 will be disabled, at the time of saving the Excel 2010 file in 2003 format. so as a result of this, you might be able to print in LaserJet 2200 in Excel 2003 but you cannot do this in Excel 2010 files. so the conclusion can be if the problem was with Excel 2010 then Brother DCP will also encounter similar type of issue.
