    Win7 interfers with Vista

    Hello from a new friend:

A client of mine is having issues with a new laptop.

She has a desktop running Vista (32 bit) wired connection to the router, and a new Laptop running Win7 (don't remember if 32 or 64 bit) WiFi.

They connect to a D-Link router.

    Both machines work fine independently.

    however,

When I have both machines on, neither can access the internet properly. It is sporadic at best, mostly nothing.

At first, I thought it was an IP address conflict issue, but the Vista machine is at 192.168.1.100, and the WIn7 is at 192.168.1.103

I read stuff a while ago about this issue, but cannot seem to find it now.

Thanks for any help you fine people can offer.

    Mark.

The main reasons of this problems have been solved by installing the latest driver for the network adapter obtained from the manufacturer. Try to download Windows 7 compatible drivers if the manufacturer provides them. If not, try Windows Vista drivers and contact your OEM for any update on the driver.
