What drivers you necessitate are included in the operating system. It is not compulsory to install one. Driver included with os should work.

I have the latest MacBook Pro with dual graphics processors: the 9400 and 9600GT. When set to "outperform" only used the 9600GT.

According to the documentation, "the QuickTime H.264 hardware acceleration requires a Mac with NVIDIA 9400M."My question is: If I'm at "outperform" hardware acceleration is going to work?

Nvidia's "Pure Video HD" hardware acceleration takes place in the GPU itself and is included in almost all 8000 and 9000 series Nvidia GPU series, including all mobile versions that Apple has put in place.

Not convinced what the 9400 features making it the only chipset supports H.264 acceleration. As you say, possibly additional GPUs will be in prospect versions. Nevertheless since 9400 is an absolute chipset, not straight away a GPU, there may be other features that depend on h.264 acceleration. But let's see.

What could be causing the delay fps / low frame rate while SC2/ then? It has been so since my upgrade to OS X Lion. It was not like before.

Try turning off Bluetooth. I realized after doing some research and using xbench to test my system, GUI resources almost tripled after turning off Bluetooth. I know this is strange, but all the reviews and the ideas I found online, this seems to be the merely one that augmented gaming recital. Be pleasant if we could download updated drivers from NVIDIA though.

Only a matter of time before we have the capacity to acquire the lion drivers through Nvidia site. Snow Leopard is already there, so I'm sure the lion is soon. If this does not help, sees himself as an optimization tool or CleanMyMac onyx. This helps me a diminutive Not much nevertheless sufficient to acquire another few FPS. Hope this helps.
