Unable to resume or suspend in VMware workstation 8

Updated to Workstation 8, from workstation 7.1.4 .When I turn off the virtual machine state, everything works fine. But when I suspend and resume the VM, graphics performance is horrible. Website navigation is very slow in Firefox. I have to power cycle the virtual machine to get better the good graphics performance. If I alter tab the workstation vm 8 toolbar that makes graphics presentation too slow. Good graphics performance is restored when you power off the virtual machine.

First error (bug suspend) and steps to copy:
    • Suspend and resume the VM.
    • After the restart, the graphics poor performance in the virtual machine. This is visible when scrolling web pages faster with Firefox or Chrome. But if you power off the virtual machine, all is well.

Second error (bug bargaining chip) and the steps to reproduce:
    • Install desktop Ubuntu 10.04 x64 guests in VMware Workstation 8.
    • Switch to any other vm-tab in the tab bar
    • Back to Ubuntu vm-tab

How much time is allowed between suspends and resume? I'm seeing the resource monitor a suspended virtual machine (which stopped too quickly) and is still writing to the disk of thing happens. Not surprise me if later trying to resume immediately after the suspension that could be very slow (surprised that it works).

How much of a real use case is to suspend immediately .If I fail, wait 60 seconds and then resume a guest Win7 x86 (in a very slow laptop) works pretty well.

That depends on some things, How Vmem is assigned, what else is running the host, etc. Anyway, the point of re-strengthens mine, fast suspend / resume test is not really going to work out without letting the time host to commit suspend to disk.

I'm looking for a bug that was reported internally that sounds similar to what
    • Close all tabs other, apart from the virtual machine we've seen slowness.
    • Close to the workstation and rerun.
    • Show and then hide the thumbnail (View-> Customize-> bar in thumbnail). If you normally have the bar of thumbnails that show, like to hide.
    • Switch to the summary view, and then return to the console.
