Can't install silverlight

Hello!

I have tried to install silverlight 4 update on my pc, windows xp, sp2, to view features in my webbrowser. But the message i get is that "windows can't install silverlight". So I tried to remove all components attached to silverlight and heres what happens when i reinstall:

Anyone had the same problem? What to do? What else to delete incase i haven't deleted everything the first time. The last text in the instalation window is in norwegian and says "can't install silverlight"

Hi, I think your best bet is to manually install silverlight. You can go to this thread that i already posted the instructions on how to install silverlight manually. Click Here

Here's the instructions anyways:

Step 1: Download the latest Silverlight SDK HERE from Microsoft.com (version 4 is the latest at the moment)

Step 2: Download and open 7-zip portable from HERE. Portable allows you to use 7-zip without admin rights.

Step 3: In 7-zip, highlight silverlight_sdk.exe then click file - open inside.

Step 4: Then you will see the file "silverlight_sdk.cab". Highlight by clicking once then click file - open inside.

Step 5: Extract all files from the list below (which are inside "silverlight_sdk.cab") to a new folder on your desktop.

Step 6: Goto start - run and type %appdata% then open Mozilla folder and if there is not a folder called plugins then create one inside Mozilla folder.

Step 7: copy all those .dll files from where you extracted them and copy to the plugins folder inside Mozilla folder. Restart firefox and your done. Enjoy!
