Getting GrooveMUI.msi error message while installing MS Office 2010 SP1

hello everyone i have installed the windows XP operating system on mine system and everything on the system working fine without any issue. last night i have tried to install the MS Office 2010 SP1 and while doing this i have got error message saying that:" GrooveMUI.msi error" and now i am not able to install the MS Office 2010 SP1 on mine system. can anyone suggest on this issue and so that i can solve mine issue. before this i had MS Office 2007.

just try to do the below steps and after that let em know the issue. first of all takes the all files from the disk and copy to another location. now once you done and after that delete the read only status from the main folder and also from the other directories. once you finish this and after that locate to the groove.msi file and after that make right click on the groove.msi and then select the repair. now once you finish the repairing and after that try to install the MS Office 2010 SP1 on your system.

hello thanks so much for the replay and i have gone through your solution but its doesn't helped me to solve mine issue. as you said that i have repaired the groove.msi file and after that when i tried to install the MS Office 2010 SP1 and after that also i am getting the same issue. now i don't know what to do and how to get rid this issue, can anyone help on this.

i have faced the same issue and after that i have gone through the below steps and then i have solve mine issue and to do this you need to go through the below steps: first install the and ten run the setup again. now once yo insert the setup CD you will get the option to repair and after that make click on the repair options. now once you finish the repairing and after that reboot the system and then make install the new MS Office 2010 SP1 on your system again and after that make sure your facing the issue or not.

if above all solution wont solve your issue and after that i would like to suggest you make uninstall the MS Office 2010 and after that install it again. i think there is something wrong with your MS Office 2010 and so therefore i would like to suggest you to uninstall.
