    technical info on Windows software

Hi all - I was wondering where I could find out all about windows at a rather technical level. For example, what each of the system files are and what they do. Many moons ago, I learned all about the DOS files but I want to get an in depth understanding of each system file. There must be a book/manual somewhere which will explain all of this. If someone could give me a heads up, that would be appreciated

Well, there is enough resources on the net that explain the indepth of windows file system used. A file system or file management system (FMS) is a way to store information and the organizer of files in the so-called second area of memory (hard disk, CD ROM, USB, SSD, disk, etc.).. Adjusting management of files Allows to process, preserve of large amounts of data and share them among multiple computer programs. It offers the user a view of abstract data and allows to locate them from a path.

Yes, thanks for the reply. I understand what you are saying as this is essentially exactly what DOS does. What I want to know, for example, is what each of the files actually do. If there are resources on the internet, could you please tell me where to find them and will ones will suit my needs.

    cheers
