Now over this topic I have to say that if you are having a question over lightroom and Apenture 2.0 then why not about the iPhoto I think they all have been working almost equally and they would be providing you with all your requirements which you would be expecting only the matter is off taste as you have been wanting. I think this is only decided on the photographers view and the look he gets in his eyes about the software images, I would say you try out all of them with the trial version and then note out what’s the difference between them you won’t find any until you have a mindset that which one you should prefer.

Both will do what you need. Both interface very well with Adobe Photoshop. I would tell you that both of them are nearly seamless. Aperture works smoother than the other apple applications do. Specially the media browsers which has been built as an finder they can look into Aperture library. I would say the big difference is the style with what the users watches the image from both of them. Lightroom imposes a workflow while the opening is like a big tool box and has nothing to do with it and simply convey a sequence of steps you do. Aperture also uses the concept of block to the library and is better than going alone with her. LR like search folders and style is best for those who cannot understand or deal with libraries.

I use Lightroom and Aperture and made a complete change of opening and never looked back. For me the benefits of open data management stood head and shoulders above the Lightroom interface and for me it is simply more versatile. I hated the modular aspect of Lightroom. Besides being a complete waste of time is also an example of cheap and dirty program posing as a user friendly feature. As for the opening that pushchair while Lightroom is reliable that is simply not true. Lightroom has been notoriously buggy and sometimes completely useless. When I stopped using Lightroom still lurking in your user panel just for the drama of it! The board is also populated by a number of paid consultants to Adobe who are simply rude and hostile to anyone who complains about the software. I prefer a forum that disinfects the discussions at the front which allows the level of public hostility directed at those who are having problems with the software.

Although Aperture and Lightroom both attack the same problem, they are not clones. In fact, they differ in some respects original. The most important difference is in how each program approaches to workflow. Apple clearly thinks that motivation can occur at any stage, and the opening refuses to get in your way. Their process is flawless. To remove the dust, while ranking images, you can. Adobe, meanwhile, adopts a structured approach to work with. Lightroom has five modules Library development, printing, slideshow, and the Web each plays a specific role in the process workflow. When you're in a module, only have access to the tools and operations deemed appropriate to the process. Although moving between modules is easy, the experience can be annoying especially since some of the limitations of what can and cannot do in each module seem arbitrary. Having to stop and switch to another module sometimes to a different point of view within a module can be drawn from what was working. Lightroom modal structure seems more comfortable to photographers who prefer to carry out one task before starting another. If, like me, prefer to skip, you will most likely find a free test of openness that is more intuitive and less restrictive.

My point is simply this: these are two very complex programs, equally prone to sprains. That have similar characteristics, but the methods of access to these features could not be more different. Opening for a more fluid, Lightroom is more modular. When you try both you, soon gravitate to the one that best suits your working style. That decision is best done once. Take two shots of vodka and convert your images to the one you like and not look back, because as much as you look at those software you would be confused

I think that goes beyond the opening Lightroom for photo management: there are star, color coding and simple techniques for filtering and collecting images. After using for some time, my problem is with the metadata dissipating slightly. Aperture projects, folders, albums and feel better than quick selection of Lightroom and collections. The main incentive for me to use the opening is its editing capabilities. They make plenty of brushes, and supplies. Opening module very useful curves, the effect of which can be brushed inside and out. I could go on for hours, but the dolls are getting tired of writing out the whole time.
