    winlogon.exe using cpu

I'm running Windows XP and both winlogon.exe and EXPLORER.EXE are using high cpu levels. I would appreciate any help.

I have gone through this same issue and I would like to suggest you the following steps and so that you can solve your issue. to do this you need to go through the following steps: first make click on the start icon on the desktop and after that click on the run. Now on the run type regedit and after that hit the ok button. Now you will get the windows and under that go to the following location:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Now here locate to the RVHOST.exe at the left side and after that make right click on that and then select the delete. Now once you done and after that restart the system.
