    how to change SID

    Hello,
I would like to ask you how to change SID on windows server 2008 R2...

Server is running on vmware server 2.0.

I want to test small domain environment so I need to have more servers. I copied folder with wmware machine. I changed the IP address and name of the new machine. But I do not know how to change SID for this machine. Is there any software /tool for this ?

I tried to use NewSid tool but I received only BSOD.

    Thanks

    Re: how to change SID

    hi,
    thanks for help...
but I did not find solution in this thread.

For user which have the same problems:
I found out that the best way to change SID for server 2008 is use the sysprep.exe.
Sysprep is default tool in windows\system32\sysprep
